A little bit about Kundalini Yoga & Meditation

Kundalini yoga offers specific protocols (themes), posture sequences (kriyas), modulated by primal sound currents (mantra), and breath (pranayam), to safely and effectively raise kundalini energy. The power of kundalini underlies all yogic traditions, and historically the objective of yoga was to awaken and raise the kundalini energy in order to elevate the consciousness of humankind.

The Kundalini yogi is a pran yogi, and uses pranayama (specific breath techniques) and bandha (body locks) to create a state of stillness – shuniya – “zero”. Into this stillness of the neutral mind, a seed – bij – is planted using mantra, a sacred Naad technology to create a new rhythm or pattern of being, thus the kundalini flows and we create a new breath signature supportive of increasing health, vitality, awareness and connectedness to one’s life and cycles. The overall effect of these sacred practices is to enable us to be more effective in our everyday life, to harmonise our mood, support healthy biochemistry in the brain and the body which in turn allows for a healthier mind, body and heart, aligning us with our purpose.

You'll find me teaching Kundalini Yoga at Downward Dog Hot Yoga at Noosa Marina! Tuesday 7.00 - 8.30pm and Wednesday 9.00 - 10.30am.
